About

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem

As Salaamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatuh,

The aim of this Website is the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala. Nothing is expected accept the pleasure of the Almighty in this endeavour. I am writing this with a heavy heart since I know I do not have the Ikhlas required so that the readers may benefit from this Blog.

This worthless one requests for Dua.

This blog will have details of Tasawwuf/ Tazkiya and will try to eliminate all false ideas and wrong interpretations and misunderstandings that people have today of the Tasawwuf/ Tazkiya that we see today.

Ash-Shams Ayat 9-10

Ash-Shams Ayat 9-10

“Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself, And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself.” (Ash-Shams, 91:9-10)

Errant Sufis as well as the superficial Ulama although on the opposite ends of the spectrum, are together in holding this mistaken notion. Consequently the first group has shunned the Qur’an and Hadith while the second group has shunned tasawwuf.

Actually, although the term tasawwuf, like many other religious terms in use today evolved later, the discipline is very much part of the Shariah. The department of the Shariah relating to external deeds like salat and zakat is called fiqh while the one dealing with internal feelings and states of the heart is called tasawwuf.

The writer is a humble servant from Sri Lanka, a Saalik and a Muballigh.
